FOSS Sustainability Fund 2024

The FOSS Sustainability Fund accepts applications annually and is done in a two-stage-process. In 2024, the solicitation will close May 17th. Applications are submitted as concept notes, and once the solicitation closes, if the concept receives a positive review, OTF invites the applicant to submit a full proposal. Problem Statement: Provide a brief explanation of the sustainability problems your FOSS project is facing, and briefly mention the problems being addressed, at both technical and non-technical levels. Highlight which ones are critical and non-critical.

Sustainability: How will this potential OTF support address these sustainability problems, during and beyond the period of funding?

Project Description: Provide a high-level overview of the proposed scope of work, objectives, activities, and deliverables.

Contributors & Community: Provide an overview of the project’s core contributors, volunteer contributors, core maintainers, and volunteer maintainers.

Users & Beneficiaries: Provide an overview of the project’s user base, their demographics and statistics, and any other indirect beneficiaries.

Dependencies: Provide an overview of the project’s software upstream and downstream dependencies.

Licensing: Provide an overview of the project’s open source licensing.
